WHEN A SENSE OF PERMANENCY AND DEPTH IS REQUIRED on professional offices, universities and government buildings – Gemini bronze and aluminum cast metal letters offer the depth you need. With 12 different finishes including polished, oxidized or anodized (using Aluminum Anodizers Council and American Institute of Architects guidelines); you can get the classic look and deep dimension of cast metal letters for less than what you would expect to pay for such quality.
Cast metal letters are the pinnacle in dimensional lettering; offering greater dimension than solid sheet flat cut out letters at a cheaper price. Cast metal letters establish a sense of permanency wherever they are installed and convey an image of success about the company that utilizes them in its signage.
Most of our cast metal letters come in flat face designs with the exception of the Architectural font which is bevel faced and the Roman Round font which has a round face.
When your looking for a heavy metal sign letter with lots of dimensional thickness and relativly low cost, a Cast Aluminum or Brass sign letter will be considerably cheaper than a similar size sign letter that has been cut out from solid sheet.
Cast metal letters are made in two distinct metals. Both Cast Aluminum letters and Cast Bronze letters are made from mercury and lead free prime ingots, cast in virgin sand molds that produce faces and returns that are pit and blemish free.
There are currently 60 distinctive styles to choose from, many with lower case. There are 12 metal finishes and 45 baked enamel colors. Additionally, we can custom cast your special font, your logo's and your designs.
Custom painted colors are also available using PMS matching or using a manufactures color such as Sherwin Williams, PPG, etc.

Installation Hardware
Flush Mounting studs are set in adhesive cement. There is no space between the letter
and the surface.. A mounting pattern is highly recommended to locate the correct places to drill. Once the holes are drilled, screw studs into the stud blocks being careful not to over tighten, then fill the holes with silicon caulk, coat the studs and push the assembly into the wall up to where the stud block meets the wall surface.
Projected Spacer Mounting Studs are set in adhesive cement. Pre-cut spacers are inserted between the letter and the mounting surface. A mounting pattern is highly recommended to locate the correct places to drill. Once the holes are drilled, screw studs into the stud blocks being careful not to over tighten, then fill the holes with silicon caulk, coat the studs and push the assembly into the wall up to where the stud block meets the wall surface.
Projected Jam Nut Mounting.
Studs are set in adhesive cement. Stainless steel jam nuts are inserted between the letter and the mounting surface. A mounting pattern is highly recommended to locate the correct places to drill. Once the holes are drilled, screw studs into the stud blocks being careful not to over tighten, then fill the holes with silicon caulk, coat the studs and push the assembly into the wall up to where the stud block meets the wall surface.
Flat Metal Wall Mounting.
Where you have access to the rear of the wall, washers and nuts are used on both sides of wall.
Corrugated Mounting.
Studs are set using jam nut on front and back of corrugation.
Bottom studs are available on 3/8" and 1/2" thick letters over 4" tall. For letters over 8" in height, some form of tie backs will be required to mount this outside. Pleaase check with your local city ordinence before purchasing.
Similar to a bottom stud, the rail mount includes a length (8ft max) of "C" channel aluminum that tie all your letters together on a single line. Restrictions still apply for tie backs on letters over 8" tall in outdoor use.
Double sets of rails can be used to span spaces or for uneven surfaces such as corrugated buildings. We provide rails and bolts, max. 8ft. Extra costs apply.
Mounting Methods and Installation Tips
One of the most frequent questions we get is how to install the sign letters. Most people imagine some form of anchor is attached to the wall onto which the letters are mounted. Fortunately, it's not that complicated. Any tools you need you most likely have at home.
Types of Mounts
We sell a wide variety of sign letter products. Each type of letter has its own mounting requirement. There is no "one-method-fits-all." Some sign letters are hollow in the back and require either a stud or pad mounting to properly install. Other letters are solid material, like the flat cut-out acrylic letters and the flat cut-out aluminum letters. Because these letters are solid material and flat on the back, they can be mounted without hardware.
In general there are 2 mounting method categories to choose from.

Installing Sign Letters Using Anchor Mounts
You need a long bubble level or better still a laser level.
An electric drill and perhaps some masonry drill bits.
Something to blow debris from the holes you drill, a turkey baster works well or even the exhaust ports on your drill will often be enough to blow out the debris.
Lastly you need enough Silicon Caulk to fill all of the holes you drill.
A mounting pattern, is optional, but it will save you a lot of time and almost guarantee a professionally spaced and aligned installation. You you can order one from us. They are well worth their modest cost!
Adhesive Mounts:
Pad Mount
Flange Mount
Double-Sided Tape
Direct Adhesion with Silicon Caulk or Construction Adhesive
Installing Sign Letters Using Adhesive Mounts
Instructions apply whether you choose pad mounts, adjustable pad mounts or no mounts at all. For no-mount installations on a flat, dry surface, use small drops of silicon caulk on the back of each sign letter. This type of mount works better indoors.
For double-sided tape (tape provided with the letters or by you) use small drops of silicon caulk between the pieces of double-sided tape to ensure against the tape drying out after a period of time and no longer holding the letters.

Mounting Pattern for Sign Letters
Patterns come in several forms depending on the manufacturer of your letters.
For stud mounted installations, your pattern will be the actual, full-size of your finished sign. All letters, numbers, punctuation, and logos (if ordered) will be clearly drawn and properly spaced on the pattern. Signs that have multiple lines of text will be aligned to your specifications and all of the required stud locations are marked on the pattern.
For pad mounts or other adhesive based installation methods, you can buy a pounce pattern or use the free spacing tape offered with some of our products. The pounce pattern is a full size, fully aligned and spaced pattern. Instead of it being marked with mounting holes, the letters are drawn on the pattern and perforated around their outer edge. Just tape the pattern in place, rub chalk over the holes to leave a chalk outline on the mounting surface. Install your letters, then wash the off chalk. The free spacing tape only provides spacing information on where to place each sign letter in relation to the one preceding it. Vertical and horizontal alignment will be up to you.
