Installation Hardware

	Mount with small spots of silicon adhesive directly to a flat dry surface. This option can be a bit messy and care must be taken to ensure that silicon doesn't squeeze out from the sides. Pinhead amounts should be used, dotted around the back surface in strategic locations. Masking tape will be needed to hold the letters in place while the silicon dries. A good alternative is to use some double stick tape in places that will do the initial holding while the silicon sets.
	3M brand VHB double sided tape makes mounting a breeze if mounting to a flat non permeable surface. Not recommended for attachment to masonary or wood. Extra grip can be accomplied by using double side tape in conjunction with small amounts of silicon caulk between the tape strips. Tape does not cover the entire back of the letter or number. It is applied in strips, by hand, prior to packing.
	We drill and tap the backs of the letters to accept all threaded rods (studs). A mounting pattern is highly recommended to locate the correct places to drill. Once the holes are drilled, screw studs into the stud blocks being careful not to over tighten, then fill the holes with silicon caulk, coat the studs and push the assembly into the wall up to where the stud block meets the wall surface. Standoff can be accomplished using pre cut to length spacer sleeves that slip over the stud and keep the letter evenly spaced off the wall.
	Not many companies offer this but its an excellent way to mount letters indoors where you may later want to remove them for painting the wall or to relocate. With this mount and a mounting pattern, all you do is run drywall screws into the wall, deep enough so their heads protrude, then locate the heads over the large keyhole opening, push toward the wall and pull down to lock in place. No drilling, no glue, and easily removable for painting or moving. Requires fonts large enough and thick enough to accommodate the depth of the keyhole and the size of its opening. Usually 6" and above and 3/8" or more thick.

This product is brand new to the market. As far as we know there is nothing else available on the market to compare with this type of letter. Made exclusively here in Montana, this product is the penultimate in display letters.

Using CNC gantry mills, we cut letters and numbers from plate aluminum alloy 5052, in thicknesses of 1/4" to 1/2" and sizes from 4" to 24". The process involves removing material from the inlay area to a depth of about 1/8" then passing bottom mills over it to make it perfectly flat. Once that is done, the letter or number shape is cut away from the sheet leaving a border around the letter that varies from 1/4" to 1" depending on the letter size.

A thin inlay material such as mirror polished anodized aluminum from chemetal™ is then precisely milled to fit seamlessly into the inlay area. This is done on another gantry mill, then the part is laminated into the recessed area with very high bond 3M laminating tape. During these processes, drilling and tapping operations are also performed to provide stud or keyhole mounts that will be invisible from the front but allow the letters to be mounted securely to a wall or other substrate.

When painting is called for, both parts are painted prior to assembly using the finest quality architectural grade, acrylic polyurethane paints in downdraft spray booths. These paints provide the ultimate protection against UV light and assures the product will not fail in outdoor use.

A clear protectant metal preservative, invisible to the naked eye, is then applied to all bare metal surfaces to assure they will not tarnish or marr during service, whether they be used indoor or outdoor.
