INJECTION MOLDED PLASTIC LETTERS and NUMBERS

Vacuum Formed Plastic Letters, Numbers and Logos
Injection Molded "Minnesota" letters are made from the same CAB material used in vacuum formed plastic letters. Injection molding produces sharp edge returns that simulate the look of more expensive cast letters but with the cost of plastic. These letters come in a variety of standard colors and 6 different letter styles with sizes up to 24"
Depending on letter or number size, the depths of Injection Molded Plastic Letters can go from 3/8" all the way to 1.5". These letters are the right choice for any environment whether it be the arid South Western States, the humid South Eastern States or the Northern States where temperatures can drop to sub zero. These all weather plastic letters carry a manufacturer\s lifetime warrantee against fading cracking and chipping.
Prices are very reasonable too since the manufacturing process uses cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB), a cotton based fiber plastic that is totally "green" and free of any petroleum base. This makes the product extremely resilient and does not harden and crack like normal plastics do when left outside.
Like anything left permanently outside, occasional maintenance is always a good idea. Once a year, check all the mounting hardware to make sure it is firmly attached to the building. Make repairs as necessary and should you need to replace a failed letter, just send us an email with a picture of the failure, your name and address and your original order number and we will have the factory make a new one and ship it to you at no charge. Cleaning the letters should also be done as needed. A simple soapy water solution is all that is required to bring your letters, numbers and logos back to their original sparkling condition.
Mounting Hardware

PLAIN MOUNT
Not recommended for the non-professional. This product is hollow in the back and without some form of mount in it will be impossible to mount. Running screws through the face will void the lifetime warranty. Sign Professionals Only!

PAD MOUNT
Plastic pads extending about 1/8" beyond the back of letter allow you to use silicon on the pads and glue to a flat surface. Installed with use of a pounce pattern or spacing guide. Not recommended for outdoor installations or uneven surfaces.

STUD MOUNT
This is the default stud mount. This option will have blocks glued in the backs of the letters that accept threaded rods(studs). Drill corresponding holes in the mounting surface using the drilling pattern available at extra cost, then fill the holes and coat the studs with silicon and push the letter to the wall. A drill mounting pattern is required.

COMBO MOUNT
The combination all mount is stud through pad on all points. This gives you adjustability on every stud and is useful for irregular surfaces such as corrugated metal buildings, lap siding, stone walls or anywhere you want a standoff from the wall that is adjustable during installation. A drill mounting pattern is required.

What you need to know about Mounts and Mounting Patterns
The What
Injection Molded Plastic letters are hollow in the back and need one of the available mounting options listed. The best type of mount for letters 3 inch or more will be a stud mount. If your letters are 6 inch or taller, a combination or combo all mount will provide wall standoff if desired. For 2 inch letters, Mounting hardware is not available and they would need to be glued directly to the surface. For areas where stud installations are not allowed, the pad mount can be used to glue the letters to a flat surface and for this you can use either a spacing guide or eyeball the letters yourself. Mounting patterns ensure perfect alignment and spacing of all the letters and words in your sign . A stud, combo or combo all mount all use lengths of threaded rod that screw into blocks in the back of the letters. You screw the studs to the letters and then "glue" the studs into holes in your mounting surface using either silicon caulk, liquid nails, epoxy or mortar.
The Why
ust like any other tool, a mounting installation pattern or stencil guide is a tool that no sign professional would do without. For the average DIY person installing individual cut letters, having a mounting pattern to go by will be like hiring a professional sign installer, for a fraction of the labor cost. At first glance, a mounting pattern looks expensive and many customers forego it to save on costs but it is a false economy which will become apparent when they start to install their sign. Proper spacing and alignment of letters is not something you want to eyeball or guess at when installing a sign at your business. The human eye will easily pick up on any imperfection and if your sign looks bad, so will you.
The How
Before you begin, note that some patterns will have each character numbered. If so, you will find a corresponding number on the back of each metal letter and they MUST go in that position(1 to 1 and 2 to 2 etc), so sort and match first! While you are doing this go ahead and screw the metal threaded rods into each tapped hole. For welded studs (1/8" material only) skip this since they are already welded on and not removable. Now, take your pattern and tape it securely to the mounting surface. Using a heavy metal punch and hammer, mark each stud position through to the mounting surface. This avoids drilling through the pattern which may tear it. When all are marked, remove the pattern and drill holes 2" deep. Now coat each stud and fill each hole with adhesive and push the letter in to the wall. DONE!!!
Mounting patterns with stud locations cannot be made after the letters ship.
TIP: Whenever you are finished installing your letters, keep the install pattern in a safe place in case you ever need to move your sign!
